RAM is a temporary memory where all the processes run and if your
PC RAM is low then you may face some problems like hanging of Programs or hanging up of your PC
or either it worked slowly. But it is costly to increase computer RAM but here
is the simple trick through which you can increase RAM by Using your Pendrive.
Pendrive will not work as same as the original RAM but it will help your
computer to load the heavy files such as software and games because these things
increase load on your computer and make it slow. So it will increase your
computer paging file and cache memory as an external RAM and it will also help
Here are some simple steps follow carefully and you can Use your Pen drive as an external RAM.Here I have provided two methods check both the Methods To Use Pen drive as an external RAM.
Ways to Increase RAM using Pen drive
1st Method: Virtual RAM Concept for Windows
- Insert Pen drive Into your Computer
- Now go to desktop and then right click on My Computer Icon
- Then go to properties and then a new window will appear
- On the left side you can see written Advanced system settings click on it
- A new System Properties window will appear
- On that window a Advanced tab will appear, click on it
- Now under advance tab you can see an option for Setting
- Again it will open a new window named Performance Options again you have to click on Advanced tab
- There you can see Change option in the virtual memory box click on it
- Again a new window will appear name Virtual Memory
- On the top of the window you can see written Automatically manage paging file size for all drives uncheck it
- As soon as you click on the box to uncheck it you can see that below there all the three options are active now
- Click on the custom size: option and change the initial and maximum value to 30 MB to 50 MB of the original space
- Put the same value in both initial and maximum size (as given in the image above)
- Then click OK and then restart your PC or Laptop
- Now the pen drive will work as an virtual RAM
2nd Method: Ready Boost Concept only for Windows
- Insert Pen Drive into your PC or Laptop
- Right click on Pen Drive and then click on Properties
- Properties Window will appear and then you click on Ready Boost tab and then click on use this device (as shown in the pic below)
- Select size according to your Pen Drive, always leave 200 to 300 MB left free
- Click on apply button
WARNING:Whenever you want to eject your pen drive first Safely Eject Your Pen Drive. and don’t remove it directly it will leads to device damage.
